Events in Düsseldorf
Dear members and friends of the Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft,
After a great evening last night discussing the Scottish Independence Referendum, please find enclosed the reminder for the SECOND event after the summer break in cooperation with the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany, a panel discussion on “Prospects for economic growth in Germany and Great Britain” with:
- His Excellency, the British Ambassador in Berlin, Sir Simon McDonald, KCMG
- the Managing Director of the BDI, Dr. Markus Kerber and
- the Director-General of the CBI, John Cridland
on Friday lunchtime, 5 September, from 12:30 – 14:30 at the offices of EY, Ernst & Young, Graf-Adolf-Platz 15, 40213 Düsseldorf (NOT at the Goethe–Museum!).
Please see the email below and the enclosed invitation letter for further information. Entry EUR 20 (for both BCCG and DBG members) or EUR 30 (for non-members) payable at the door.
Advance registration is required. Please register at the BCCG website (click here online).
But this is not all – another event is coming up in the following week!
Furthermore, please be invited to a presentation of the book “Angela Merkel: A Chancellorship forged in Crisis” by the co-author Alan Crawford, Bloomberg, Berlin,
on Thursday, 11 September at 7 pm at the Goethe Museum, Schloss Jägerhof in Düsseldorf. Again, please find the invitation enclosed. At this event no prior registration is required and there will be no charge.
On 11 September we will also present two scholarship certificates to students of the Heinrich Heine University, Düsseldorf.
